We accept any new patient that calls for our service. Our goal is to give everyone the best hearing health possible so we always aim to accommodate everyone. That being, we do not require a doctor’s referral to make an appointment for yourself or a loved one. We also will not turn anyone away because of certain insurance plans. Please, read more about our insurance billing policy in the next section.
- No referral is necessary to book an appointment.
- We are always accepting new patients.
- You can be seen if you have insurance we are not contracted with.
Most insurance companies will only pay for hearing tests and not hearing aids. Insurance companies and plans are constantly changing. You may always call your insurance company to check your benefits. We are in the works of completing a list of all the insurance companies we are contracted with.
Hear At Home Fees and Pricing
Home Visit Fee
Each and every home visit costs $40 for patients living within the service area. The service area includes cities in and surrounding South Bay Los Angeles. Patients who live outside of the service area will have to pay a small additional fee proportionate to how many miles outside of the service area they are located.
While a hearing test seems like it would be only one evaluation, there are several components to the test. The following is a list of the four components we include in our full diagnostic hearing test with their CPT codes.
A full diagnostic hearing test includes
- Air, Bone & Speach Test ($83) – CPT Code 92557
- Tympanometry and Reflex Threshold ($50) – CPT Code 92550
- Otoacoustic Emissions ($143) – CPT Code 92588
- Loudness Balance Test ($83) – CPT Code 92562
We offer two options for your hearing test: an abridged evaluation and a full diagnostic evaluation.
In the abridged evaluation, we will conduct the Tympanometry and Reflex Threshold ($50) and the Air, Bone & Speach Test ($83). In total, the abridged evaluation will cost $133.
In the full diagnostic evaluation, we will conduct all four tests listed above. In total, the full diagnostic evaluation will cost $359.
MOST INSURANCE COMPANIES WILL PAY FOR SOME (IF NOT MOST) OF YOUR HEARING TEST. Coverage varies depending on your specific plan.
Hear At Home USA’s Demo Program costs $180 to trial a real set of hearing aids for two weeks. During the Demo Fit Appointment and Demo Follow-Up Appointment, patients will still be expected to pay the $40 service area fee per visit. If you would like to learn more about the two-week demo program, please visit our Demo Program page.
Hearing aids programmed as a proper medical devices are expensive. There are two things you pay for with us: the service and the devices. We no longer bundle our services and deceives into one price like the Hearing Aid Industry used to do. The devices include hearing aids and any other additional tools you would use. We use our buying history with 5 primary manufacturers to get you the best prices on new quality aids.
We sell three price ranges of hearing aids:
- Low-end cost bracket hearing aids: up to $1,999
- Middle-cost bracket hearing aids: $2,000 – $3,999
- High-end cost bracket hearing aids: $4,000 – $6,000
Any of our hearing aids can be purchased with a payment plan. Our payment plans are interest-free in a time span of up to one year for financing for your hearing aids. Anyone is eligible for a payment plan. You can discuss your options for a hearing aid payment plan with your audiologist.
Service & Payment Plans
The service we sell includes everything else from testing, ear wax check, consultation, fitting the aids, ear canal molding, follow-up visits, settings adjustments, simple in-house repairs, and periodic cleaning.
We offer two payment plans A-La-Cart (pay as you go) and Worry-Free (pay once for coverage up to 3 years). The Worry-Free Membership plan costs $1500 and can be included in your payment plan.
Some of our many customers are high maintenance aid wearers in that they incur many repairs due to moisture damage, or their aids get damaged by pets or children, etc. These customers will find the Worry-Free Membership plan advantageous. Another customer might almost never need circuit adjustments or aid cleanings and may do better paying A-La-Cart.
Our physicians will be able to help you find out the best plan for you after meeting with you.
